When you see "Kukkiwon certified" on a Taekwondo school's website, here's what it means.
The home of Taekwondo
Kukkiwon, located in Seoul, South Korea, is the World Taekwondo Headquarters. It sets the official standards for Taekwondo technique and issues internationally recognized black belt ranks.
Why it matters
Kukkiwon certification means a black belt rank is recognized around the world. For students, it means you are learning from a standardized, respected curriculum.
At Legion
Master Isaac holds a 5th-degree Kukkiwon black belt and is a Kukkiwon 3rd Class Master, so families in Gambrills, Crofton and Odenton can train with confidence.
Ready to try a class?
